Night of the Grawlix

On June 16th, GreenMan Theatre Troupe will present Night of the Grawlix, an online evening of five 10-minute plays by Craig Gustafson. Gustafson, a frequent GreenMan director, is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. Several of his plays are published in anthologies: Lending a Hand and A Cheap Maid in Chasteside currently; Save Me, Myron Glick! later this year.

Speaking Asian – Comedy TIME: A sunny Saturday morning. Not too long ago. PLACE: The Wang/Dang Doodle, an arts supplies store in Naperville, Illinois. A sadly typical day for two Asian-American women who run an arts supplies store. They deal with customers of low sensitivity and lower intelligence. No Irish Need Apply – Comedy TIME: A lovely fall day in 1854. PLACE: Boston, Massachusetts. The library in the home of the Honorable August Q. Crumblewoody. In 1854 Massachusetts, an anti-Irish Judge interviews applicants for a household maid position. They’re German, French and Italian. They’re not Irish. Really. The Honorable August Q.
